Over the past year, WWE Hall of Fame JBL had nothing to paint his boots again, but had a bit of a career renaissance. The former WWE champions are oddly everywhere except WWE, appearing at TNA to protect the world champions of promotions, working with AAA’s Konnan and Dorian Roldan to create even more odd indie shows here and there. JBL is a comeback where there’s not much going on.
After all, if another former WWE star was willing to play the ball, the JBL comeback could cause an event sooner. Last week’s “Something in Wrestling,” JBL and co-host Conrad Thompson discussed recent stories about wrestlers taking part in the Powerslap. This led JBL to talk about Slater and reveal the idea of a comeback that the two would work together.
“I love Heath,” JBL said. “I once sold what came out of retirement. [where] He will be my nephew on “JBL & Cole Show.” I love Heath. I have so much fun with him. ”
JBL did not elaborate on whether Slater rejected the idea or if there was another reason why the idea didn’t happen. Anyway, it ultimately worked out for the JBL considering his current ride. He continues to wrestle for Slater, who succeeded at TNA after the WWE release, and to this day he continues to wrestle on an independent circuit under the name Heath.
