Matt Cardona has set a straight record for his AEW and ROH runs, and he hasn’t held back.
Despite previous reports from Dave Meltzer, Cardona claimed he had been offered a contract by AEW, former WWE Intercontinental Champion says it never happened.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vriette, Cardona spoke directly to the rumors. “Again, I don’t know. Dave Meltzer reported that he offered a contract, but he didn’t, so I don’t know what happened.”
In December 2024, Meltzer said Wrestling Observer Radio I have given Cardona an offer for an official contract and have added it. “I know him [Matt Cardona] It was provided [AEW] contract. I don’t know if he’s signing or there’s something. ” But Cardona is now confirming that the expected deal is nothing more than a guess.
Cardona’s AEW and ROH STINT included a match against Chris Jericho at ROH’s The final battle Pay-Per-View failed to win the ROH World Championship. Cardona has not appeared in either company since then, and now it makes clear that the deal story is just that.
As Cardona shuts down the rumors, it makes fans wonder what’s next for their self-proclaimed God of Indy And whether he will resurface at AEW, ROH or somewhere.
