Sub revealed that he didn’t finish the wrestling, even a few days before he passed away.

While appearing in Legion of Skanks podcastthe hardcore icon uploaded to his YouTube channel a day before he passed away revealed that the barbed wire match on the ropes with Joey Janela at GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9 was not his planned breakup.

The host trains the subjects, “So sub, they have some highlights. Sub quickly corrected him and stated, “It was my last match, not my last match.”

When asked if there was another match, Sub didn’t hesitate. “probably,” He said, leaving the door open despite his obvious physical struggle.

Sub’s comments match what Francine revealed in her podcast tribute. She remembered what Sabu had told her, “They said I was retired. I’ve never said I’m retired. I’m not retired.”

Francine pushed the rumors against Sub and asked jokingly. “Oh, are you going to draw us Terry Funk?” Sub responded sluggishly: “I don’t know if they’re going to sell tickets, but I’m not retired. I’ll continue wrestling.”

Francine explains that Sabu looks exhausted and sick after a cruel match with Janella, but still insists he is more prepared. “He looked tired. He was just…but he was there and he was taking photos and signing the autograph. I just said, ‘Are you okay?” And he said, “It’s okay.” But he didn’t look okay to me.” She added.

Sub’s final days reveal the man who refused to quit, even when his body had told him otherwise. The world of wrestling may have said goodbye to the hardcore legend, but his words make it clear. In his mind, he is not finished yet.
