Among them is Miles Borne, just 25 years old. Borne has been involved with WWE since 2022, moving on to level up and being part of the quarter catch crew.
To date, his biggest claim to fame has been that he looks like Randy Orton, but Borne is finding a bigger spotlight as he climbs the ladder and prepares for the NXT Championship title shot against OBA FEMI on the NXT battlefield. In the final episode of NXT, Miles revealed the reason for his unusual accent. He told the audience it was because he was deaf. This is not a character trait. Miles Bourne is truly deaf, but it won’t stop him from becoming a big star of the future.

Miles Bourne (real name David Bostian III) was a high school amateur wrestler before being hired by WWE in 2022. He studied at the Performance Center, played frequently at small NXT shows, and is now part of a quarter catch-crew faction with Charlie Dempsey, Tabion Heights and Len Sinclairn.
Still, no matter what he did as a member of the Lower Card, he was best known for his appearance as he looked like Randy Orton, from his face to his tattoo. Orton and Miles Bourne met in person, they played their similarities for laughs, and Borne probably hasn’t stopped him from making jokes about it on Twitter/X, despite being tired of the comparison: Post:

He was born in a condition known as persistent pulmonary hypertension in a newborn, making it difficult for the heart to pump blood. It’s a treatable problem, and Borne is OK now, but one side effect is hearing loss. That’s something he had to deal with his entire life, including as a teenage amateur wrestler. When he was 13, Star News Online wrote an article about him. Borne has very limited hearing, as he can pick up some sounds, but he cannot detect what they are. At a young age, he learned to read lips and received hearing aids, but he still can’t understand many words.
In the final episode of NXT, as a way to introduce yourself to fans, Milesborde spoke about his actual hearing loss and why it’s the reason behind his unique accent. Still, he aims to be more than a heartwarming story.
“I want to be more than a deaf child. I want to be judged not by my disability, but by my abilities. And that’s what everyone with a disability wants to be judged.”

Of course, in the ring, with all the white noise, you have to listen to the judge. They’re giving you a count. Who knows how far Milesborough will go in WWE, but his appearance, talent and charisma makes him have all the tools to become famous not only in NXT, but also on the main roster one day. His hearing loss helps him as a character and makes you a wrestler who wants to succeed, but if that’s the case, it’s not because he’s deaf and his disability is being misused for ratings and headlines. In that case, WWE would not have waited three years to tell him on TV. If Miles Bone becomes a big star, that’s because he’s got it.
