WWE star Dominic Mysterio reminded everyone multiple times that he was a 20-year veteran who first made his debut on WWE TV in 2003.
Mysterio was involved in a feud between his father and WWE Hall of Fame Rey Mysterio Eddie Guerrero, and a few years later he was caught up in a rivalry with Rey’s commercial punk. The 28-year-old star recently revealed that he was paid $5,000 by WWE for his appearance.
“I’ve been paid, I’ll tell you exactly what I’ve paid. I was paid for five grand as a kid. It was only one of the events. And my parents remember what they told me.
Mysterio recalls buying a bike and some action figures for himself. However, his family forbid him from buying other things with the money he earned, as his mother told him that everything was already spent on him.
“‘Cool, let’s go to Toys r Us.” I’m on my bike. As soon as we got home it was $400, maybe $300. My mother said, “That’s your money.”
A few years later, Dominic ended up winning a full-time contract, but his WWE debut match took place before signing a contract with Seth Rollins. A few years later, Dominic becomes one of the most hated heels, and is heading for a similar career to his legendary father.
