Whether Mariah might betray the timeless Toni Storm or John Moxley and Blackpool’s fighting club, these heel turns rocked the foundations of the entire promotion.
Looking at the current landscape of the company, there are a few stars on the verge of turning their heels that could dramatically change things.
Here are six AEW heel turns that could come soon.
6. Keith Lee
Since December 2023, Keith Lee has been away from AEW programming for a year and a half.
When it’s time for him to return, Lee will bring so many changes at that point, and return to a totally different promotion.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champion needs something that will make him stand out and allow him to immediately grab the attention of fans.
Lee immediately turned the heels on his return, targeting Swerve Strickland’s previous tag team partners, ultimately leading to their feud.
