WWE tag team champion Kofi Kingston addressed the boundaries of fans in an interview with “impossible” Adrian Hernandez following his rude encounter on the plane.
“You bought a ticket that you have the right to wave to me, so don’t think about it,” Kingston firmly stated.
“Don’t come over to me and say, ‘Well, I bought tickets for the show so I should be able to take a picture.’ And you have an obligation to come to me. That’s not true. I don’t need to do that. ”
Kofi Kingston’s WWE Fan Etiquette
Morning flight interaction:
“Come in, wave, try and try and take a photo when you’re about to go to work early in the morning. If you’re sitting in your first class on your way to your final class, you can sit with the camera and give a thumbs up and get a little viral shot.”
Kingston’s comments follow WWE superstar Drew McIntyre’s recent DOS and DOS for fan interaction.
About social media behavior:
“When people post such rude photos, they don’t like photos or posts. You don’t like them because you perpetuate them… you perpetuate negativity.”
His response culminated in reference to him and his championship:
“If I’m in my daily life, if I do what I want to do and go to work, if I’m hanging out with my family, I don’t need to tell you how much I smoke.
That means I don’t smoke. So, don’t come across as a liar when you tell me I’ll do that. ”
Kingston’s message is clear. Enthusiasm is welcome, but qualifications and disrespect are not.
