Laila Valkyria talks about the dangers of the airport as WWE champion

Lyra Valkyria may be the ruler of the WWE Intercontinental Champion, but the TSA clearly hasn’t paid attention. Speaking about her insights with Chris Van Vriette, Valkyria shared that the way she travels airport security using her title is not usually belt-friendly.

“It happens a lot. It’s starting to get old. I always have to allow a little extra time. Maybe I should whip it. Maybe I should put it on my shoulder and go to the airport.”

Valkyria always travels with her title, reducing the risk of losing the title during transit. Valkyrie added that the response from TSA staff can quickly show whether they are wrestling fans or not.

“I always know if they understand WWE or not. Otherwise they’ll be like, ‘Oh, what is that?’ “What weight class are you in?” And I know, OK, they don’t know what we’re doing. ”

Not every airport experience is frustrating for Valkyria, who is pleased when staff realizes who they are or that they work for WWE. “Sometimes, they get very excited and want photos and things, and that’s always good. Just like they know they met the champions at the time. That’s cool.”

Valkyria continues to defend her title in the ring, but it appears that actual battles can occur on the airport conveyor belt.
