Kairi Sane is back on the May 19 episode of Monday NightRaw WWE This is my first programming experience, nearly six months after being injured and excluded. She has been short on triple threat matches, including Rhea Ripley and Zoey Stark, but has appeared in upcoming women’s money qualifying matches in bank ladder matches. She has a chance to make a real impression with WWE, away from the damage of Ctrl Faction, a group she has been involved in since Sane returned to WWE in 2023. But if Sane doesn’t become a star this time, it could be the curtains of her WWE career.
Kairi Sane’s WWE career is overwhelming
The execution of Sane’s main roster was below expectations
- At NXT, Kairi Sane was a huge success.
- She’s stuck in the tag team division of the main roster.
- Bad bookings and injuries got in the way of Kairi’s WWE running.
Kairi Sane arrived at WWE in 2017 and made her debut in her first Mae Young Classic tournament, winning. She quickly formed an instant connection with WWE audiences and showed off many of the ring’s talents in matches with Shayna Baszler, Tessa Blanchard, Bianca Bellair, Dakota Kai and Toni Storm. For the next few months, in 2018, Sane exhibited the charisma and fire of the natural babyface in the ring, leading her to the NXT Women’s Championship. For all intents and purposes, Sane appeared to be on the crisis of big things as the next big international star in WWE. That wasn’t the case.
Sane was called to the main roster in 2019 and worked with Asuka as part of the Kabuki Warriors Tag team, but despite winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, she struggled to gain momentum. Ultimately, WWE decided to turn the pair heels – a completely different character from one sanity was used in NXT, denying all aspects that turned her into a potential star in the first place.
She did a decent job, but WWE was not focused on committing her as a star, putting the spotlight on others and ignoring SANE in the tag team department. She eventually left WWE and rebuilt her stock with something like Stardom. This ultimately prompted WWE’s return in 2022…but she quickly got lost in the heel damage Ctrl faction shuffle, and WWE once again prevented her from thriving in her role as a babyface. Since then, Sane has been presented as the least important member of the faction.
Kairi Sane has a chance to finally break out in WWE
Thane can return to WWE and get a single push
- Ctrls fall apart while Sane is away.
- This could mark her first single push on the main roster.
- This is Kairi Thane’s chance to step up raw and gain momentum.
Kairi Sane was injured in the backend in 2024, during which Iyo Sky was promoted to world title photos as Redhot Babyface, Dakota Kai received a release from WWE, and Asuka remained on the shelves. For the first time in her main roster career, Kairi Thane is herself. This may be the best for her as she can ultimately get the spotlight she postponed. With proper presentations and booking, Sane gives time in the ring and gradually builds his abilities and skills as a singles competitor, as WWE did with Iyo Sky.
Whether it’s a midcard run as an Intercontinental or the United States champion, or a final push to a world title photo that can compete with former ally Iyo Sky, there are many paths for WWE to go down. Sane showed at NXT that she could lead the brand as a babyface. She must step up now and remain consistent, trying to build a connection between audience and momentum as a performer, and force WWE to book in a prominent position.
This is your last chance to become a star for Kairi Sain
Kairi Sane needs to succeed in WWE
- Over the years, Kairi Sane has one big opportunity left for WWE.
- If Sane doesn’t work, she might fall very well.
- She has a smaller window than the young stars on the roster.
As mentioned earlier, it has been eight years since Sane first arrived in WWE. Considering that she hasn’t made it as a solo star on Raw or Smackdown yet, there are few memorable moments and matches, but this is her last chance to make an impression. Kairi Sane is 36 years old and she still remains at the top level, but WWE’s perspective on the women’s department was unfavourable for those in their late 30s. This is a poor approach on the WWE side, but that means Sane doesn’t have much time to turn her fortune around.
If Kairi Sane doesn’t put together a strong match, if she can’t get over her on her own as a solo competitor, WWE can cut down their losses and either drop her on the card or let her go as she would have done with Dakota Kai otherwise. She has always had the potential to be great in WWE, but the company can’t see it and doesn’t even try to make it work. This is your last chance.
