WWE LFG runner-up shares why they make their loss happy

Zena Sterling was the female runner-up in the first edition of WWE LFG, but she believes that not winning is the best thing for her. Above Bust open radioSterling was asked if losing competition felt like a failure, revealing her answer, “Absolutely not.”

“I’m glad we didn’t win Season 1. That sounds so ridiculous, but in a way, I think it would have been a little easier if we won.

Sterling emphasized her belief that authentic growth is brought about by adversity, rather than winning a reality show format show to win a WWE NXT deal. Some may be happy with the opportunity handed over, but Sterling shared that if something came easily for her, “it’s worth nothing to me.”

“It took a lot of things to get there to get to a lot of finals, but that means we don’t win that, which means we can put Season 2 in.

Instead of Sterling, it was Tyra Mais Steel, who had already appeared in the Silver brand, leaving Madison Square Garden on a victory and an NXT deal. With Zena Sterling, losses are not set-offs. It’s the motivation for everything she’s going to do next.
