There is no secret of tension that existed in the turbulent relationship between Triple H and Triple H CM Punk Over the years, trouble has been fostering since the early days of punk in WWE, which has left him in trouble until he left in 2014. How did these issues begin? Thankfully, as CM Punk is back in WWE and is back in Survivor Series 2023, it appears he and Triple H have at least professionally fixed their relationship.
Even before Triple H joined WWE, developed the disgust of CM Punk
Triple H thought CM Punk was copying him on ROH
- CM Punk copied Triple H’s “Terror of Terror” in Ring of Honor.
- Punk did a Pepsi Plunge. This is a pedigree-like movement from the top rope.
- Triple H and Shawn Michaels didn’t like punk.
Many people have gone before Punk joined WWE as his heels run when the ROH World Champion caused multiple comparisons with Triple H’s “terrorist reign.” It’s all possible that Punk didn’t intentionally mimic Triple H, but he used the “pepsiplunge” manipulation in India, which was essentially a pedigree from the top rope.
These similarity lectures are said to have confused Triple H. This could be why he and fellow D-Generation X partner Shawn Michaels disliked the dark match commercial Punk in 2005. Looking at where Punk is today in terms of business height, it clearly wasn’t working to hold him back. At the time, Punk was everything veterans like Triple H didn’t like as professional wrestlers. With its low impact style, small size and different appearance, Punk had a difficult battle to climb in WWE from day one.
The following year, Punk had his first PPV match, and by chance he teamed up with the DX pair on the Survivor Series team. Punk – the new young star – received some of the biggest cheers and hymns during the match. During the promotion from the 2011 feud, Punk mentioned this moment, claiming that Triple H was deeply unhappy, claiming that Punk had overshadowed him.

On WWE TV, there may have been jealous, disgusting, or perhaps even mere circumstances that led to the interaction of punk and triple H very frequently. The next notable thing was in 2010 when Triple H humiliated punk looks, hair and hygiene during a promotion with the Straight Edge Society. This could have been all the fun games made to pop crowds, but there was a seed of something deeper.
It won’t last until the long hair is gone. Punk has begun to ride a wave of momentum in the main event scene and lead to the infamous pipe bomb, the turning point for Punk’s entire career. During the filming of the job, Punk aired his complaints about the company that hired him, scorning Rock, Vince McMahon, Triple H. Punk and others, but his off-hand comment, “son-in-law” was so short that it felt even more sincere. It was as if he couldn’t even find time to worry about him insulting Triple H even more.

On suspicion of abuse, accumulation of injuries and frustration, Punk came out of WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble.
From that moment on, punk hadn’t been seen in WWE for almost a decade. In an amazing moment, Punk didn’t go back to WWE itself, but instead went back to Fox Behind the scenes of WWE A program that saw analysis on WWE TV. Of course, rumours that Punk would be returning were ramping.
