WWE Stars Provide Injury Updates

Apollo Crews recently gave WWE fans a encouraging update on his health through social media. He has been away from the wrestling ring since undergoing surgery in February 2025 for a torn chest muscle.

The crew suffered a nasty injury during a match against Johnny Gargano on January 24, 2025, during an episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown. Despite him winning the match, the 37-year-old wrestler had to undergo surgery and has not taken action since.

Last Tuesday, May 20, the crew posted on their Instagram account, stating that they were feeling good while recovering. He said the mental aspect of overcoming an injury was tough despite the lack of physical pain. The crew also said he was working hard in the rehabilitation sessions.

“I’m crushing rehabilitation. I feel good,” the crew wrote. “I didn’t have any physical pain, but it took me a while to get a mental game right after the injury. I’ve now got through that hump and wake up and work every day.

This update comes as the crew recently passed a major career milestone and spent 10 years since their first official NXT appearance in May 2015, signing a contract with William Regal.

He moved to the main WWE roster in April 2016, then won both the US Championship (2020) and the InterContinental Championship (2021 Wrestlemania 37).
