It is a traditional tradition of professional wrestling for performers to transition into the role of announcer once their career in the ring falls or ends completely, and WWE has seen many examples.
Over the years, many memorable wrestlers have moved to commentary desks – icons like WCW’s “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, NXT’s Booker T, and AEW’s Nigel McGuinness have each brought legacy, insights and microphone skills in the ring to the new roles behind the headset.

That same skill set is seamlessly translated into commentary roles, where he can provide both interesting delivery and meaningful insights into behavior and psychology within the ring.
Fans hope that his in-ring career will last for years, but that he will ultimately capture the “big thing” but whenever he is ready, the commentary booth spot is sure to be waiting for him.
