Shortly before Wrestle Mania, Kevin Owens shared that he is dealing with neck injuries. It’s unclear when Owens will wrestling again, but WWE promotes the former Universal Champion on June 13thth An edition of WWE SmackDown. This is the only show where Owens is being promoted, and the card “may be changed”, but it is unclear whether his inclusion is a sign of surveillance, mistakes, or true returns.
Owens is not the only famous name to be promoted, as Cody Rhodes has been promoted for tonight’s Smackdown in his first appearance since the defeat of WrestleMania 41. Randy Orton is touted in next week’s episode of WWE Smackdown, but it’s unclear if he’s ready to go back after being defeated at the hands of John Cena in the backlash.
As for Owens, his situation is serious and WWE won’t struggle with him until he’s 100%, but there could be a non-physical return within a few weeks.
