WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans? Probably not

It has been reported that WrestleMania 42 will not be held in New Orleans, and raises questions about Host City for the April 2026 Premium Live Event.

A statement provided to Wrestlenomics by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation highlighted some of the major events coming to town, dropping bombs about WrestleMania.

“The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company will work closely with friends at TKO to expand their long-standing partnerships, including UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Bank Money for 2026, and WrestleMania, which will move from the current scheduled 2026 to future years.”

At this point, the reason for the changes to WrestleMania plans for next year is unclear, but the foundation says the statement is representatives of both New Orleans and WWE. The news comes just a few months after Rocks appeared in WWE Smackdown and a few months after WrestleMania shared that she’s returning to “Nola” in 2026.

This news leaves some doubts. Where does WrestleMania42 happen? Do you go back to the city where you hosted the event, go somewhere new, or push your boat into the UK as countless fans expect? Only time can be seen…
