Kenny Omega is probably not known as a superstar, but he was once part of Deep South Wrestling, the developmental realm of WWE. Talk honestly between a Convulsions Stream, Omega detailed the physical and emotional sacrifices of the training adopted by Bill Demott, and how it pushed him to the limit.
“He allowed me to develop a palette for eating s*** every day, over and over again. Get the beaten f*** from me again and again every day.
Despite the emotional tension, Omega expressed mixed respect for the experience. The former AEW world champion believes Demott’s tactics ultimately did well on him and wants to reward him.
“If you can endure it, you will appear as a better person, a tougher person. For that reason, I would like to wave his hand or buy him a meal.”
Demott’s method was known for causing controversy, including allegedly using homophobia and racial slander towards young wrestlers. Demott stepped down from WWE in 2015 when several wrestlers came forward and allegedly accused trainees of training them naked and tolerating sexual harassment.
As for Omega, I believe there will be Bill Demott, a decorated champion and a respected name for wrestling and appreciate his success.
