WWE reportedly deals with two obstacles while moving WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas

On Thursday, WWE and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation announced that WrestleMania 42 will no longer occur at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. When Wrestlenomics first broke the news, there was no further indication of alternative locations for WWE’s biggest event. New Orleans hosted money in the bank in 2026 as it was the only future plan for the bank. However, on Friday it was reported that WWE is considering taking WrestleMania to Las Vegas for the second year in a row. This is mainly due to the amount of revenue we earned from the 41st edition of this April event. That said, WWE’s plans to host WrestleMania 42 on Allegiant Stadium seem more difficult than initially expected.

According to Dave Meltzer of the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter,” WWE has encountered two major hurdles that could prevent WrestleMania from holding “Sin City” next year. First, he noted that the concert will be held at Allegiant Stadium on the scheduled weekend of WrestleMania 42 on Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th. Additionally, while the top of Allegiant Stadium attempted to change the date of the concert, the promoter outlines that there is a contract for the event and is willing to negotiate.

Second, Meltzer explained that the Las Vegas Convention Center, which held a fan gathering last April, will be available for WrestleMania weekend next year, but lacks the amount of open space needed to host the opportunity. Unfortunately, part of the convention centre is already scheduled for another event, and I am not currently in the mood to move. Meltzer also said WWE may have to settle down by using less space at the facility or moving to an alternative convention center. Mandalay Bay is your best option.
