Eddie Kingston provided an update on his health after suffering serious injuries last May. Kingston seriously injured his leg, destroying his tibia and tore his meniscus and ACL after bouncing off the guardrail in a loss to Kid in the NJPW revival last year. “Mad King” told Pwin Cedar on Friday that he was just starting to run in the ring, telling him he wasn’t ready for the return trip.
Kingston told the outlet he was still in physical therapy and was in a better place mentally. He said it was still a struggle, but being able to exercise in addition to his physical therapy is helping his mind and body. He said he finally felt the ball was moving in the right direction.
Fans pondered Kingston’s position after Kidd helped world champions John Moxley and Death Ryder ahead of Anana’s on Sunday in the arena, but Dave Meltzer helped burn rumours with the edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Meltzer writes that Kid “appears to Kingston’s return, saying that “the catalyst could end” was present, calling the arena’s analkey “a place of nature.” Meltzer pointed out that they hadn’t heard anything in that direction, but it would have been something that would have been kept quiet when it happened.
Meltzer wrote that Kingston’s return should be coming soon, and the star appeared to be rebutting his health update to PWI. Previous reports show that Kingston will take action until spring 2025.
