In 2019, WWE officially introduced women’s tag team championships, including boss ‘n’ Hug Connection, Iconics and Riott teams competing for the title and duos and groups involved in the first presentation of the new division.

Speaking at the AEW Double or None Media Conference this weekend, Khan explained that he is about to establish AEW’s women’s tag team championship in the near future, and that he will rebuild the men’s tag division, which is suffering due to some injuries.

“That’s what I want to do, and that’s a goal for me, and I think I’ll see that there are a lot of great tandems and alliances and some great tag matches in the women’s division. In the future… there are a lot of great partnerships and rivals that will help those matches.”

On Double-O Nut this Sunday, Megan Bene and Penelopeford will fight Harley Cameron and Anna Jay in the pre-show. Additionally, Heart Syndicate defends the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Texas’ son.
