The new title match was added to the main event show on May 24th WWE Saturday Night in Tampa, Florida.
A total of five matches will be held at the show. This is a change from the normal four games I’ve seen so far since SNME’s return.
The new match announced in tonight’s episode of SmackDown will see Zelina Vega defending the WWE Women’s US Championship against Chelsea Green.
Green became her first women’s champion in the December 14th, 2024 edition of Saturday Night’s main event, defeating the sewing machine in the tournament final.
She held the title until April 25th Smackdown, where she lost it to Vega.
Vega vs Green is the only match between the five women on Saturday night.
Other matches include a non-controversial WWE champion John Cena vs R-Truth in a non-title match, with Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest steel cage matches.
Jay Uso will also defend the World Heavyweight Championship with Logan Paul, while Seth Rollins and Bron Blakeker will team up with CM Punk & Sami Zain.
