The former WWE star is not planning on wrestling on TV again

The former WWE name and former AEW regular are working on his wrestling career, noting that he hasn’t planned to wrestle again on television.

Many fans know Cezar Bononi from his days at WWE NXT or AEW Dark, but the Brazilian star has established himself as a fitness coach in recent years, helping many wrestlers achieve their fitness goals.

Speaking about his own career with Dennis Salcedo, Bononi pointed out that his days, which he travels weekly to wrestling on TV, are behind him.

Noting that he still enjoys wrestling in independent scenes with a relaxed schedule, Bononi said:

“To be honest, I’m not going to go back to TV. My body feels so good right now. Wrestling is really, really bad for me.

“My body feels really good. I still love wrestling, I still want to be a part of it. I still want to play games. I want my son to actually wrestling and enjoy.

“He was four years old and he was really afraid of noise so I took him to some shows and never saw him, but last night I did a show in Boca. That’s where I work most. Championship wrestling in Boca. We work there.

“I’m very loud at any game I have. If it’s my client, of course I’ll do that, but when I travel every week I think a part of my life is (behind me).

“I feel what I’m doing now, and I’m really giving back to the industry.

Cezar Bononi signed with WWE in 2015 ahead of his NXT TV debut in May 2017. He was named “Future Star of NXT” at the 2017 NXT End Year-end Awards. He remained in WWE until it was released in April 2020.

Bononi is also a regular at AEW Dark and appeared in the now-deprecated brand from September 2020 to March 2023.
