At Just 21, He Clinched His First WWE Brand Championship Title

The new WWE Evolve brand champion has been decided.

On the June 4 episode of WWE Evolve, a four-way elimination match was held to determine the inaugural Evolve Men’s Champion. The contenders were Jackson Drake, Edris Enov, Sean Legacy, and Keene Carver.

Edris Enov was the first wrestler to be eliminated. Keene Carver then took down the NXT veteran by hitting a running slam for the three-count. After Sean Legacy executed a 450 splash, Carver advanced further. Jackson Drake teamed up with Legacy to eliminate Carver by covering the heavy hitter.

In the final moments, the two remaining wrestlers, Legacy and Drake, exchanged several counters. Legacy attempted a German suplex, but Drake grabbed the rope for leverage. He pulled Legacy into the ropes and delivered a move called Injek.

Legacy countered and caught Drake mid-air, aiming to finish the match with a hellish scene move. However, Drake recovered, landed on his feet, and gained the upper hand by hitting his knees before pinning Legacy for the victory.

NXT star Je’von Evans presented the championship belt to Jackson Drake, who celebrated alongside his Vanity Project faction teammates at the end of the show.

It’s worth noting that Jackson Drake is not the first champion crowned in this new Evolve era. Kali Armstrong made history last week by becoming the first-ever Evolve Women’s Champion after winning in a similarly intense four-way match.

Fan Take: This moment is significant for WWE fans as it marks the beginning of a fresh chapter in Evolve’s legacy, spotlighting new talents who could rise to WWE stardom. Jackson Drake’s victory hints at exciting storylines and rivalries that will shape the future of the sport’s next generation.
