Mercedes Moné from AEW has added another accolade to her growing list of achievements, this time from Austria. She made a surprising appearance at the European Wrestling Association’s (EWA) premier event in Vienna, the largest annual show of the promotion. In a triple threat match, Moné triumphed over Mira Smido and reigning champion Lexa Vallo to capture the EWA Women’s Championship.

This new title joins Moné’s already impressive collection of championships. The AEW star has held the TBS Championship for over a year and currently holds the undisputed women’s title in Rev Pro. At the Double or Nothing event, she also secured the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Championship by defeating Jamie Heiter in the final. Additionally, Moné previously held the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship before recently dropping it to AZM.

Her sights are now set on the AEW Women’s World Championship. Moné is scheduled to challenge the current champion, Toni Storm, at the All: Texas event as she aims to extend her streak of success. Whether she will add another major title to her name is yet to be determined.

Fan Take: This news is a big deal for AEW fans as it highlights Mercedes Moné’s rising dominance across multiple prominent wrestling promotions. Her continued success not only elevates her individual status but also brings more attention and prestige to AEW and women’s wrestling as a whole.
