Triple H Faces Off with R-Truth as WWE Announces 2025 Return Plans

2 Min Read

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, has been involved in orchestrating R-Truth’s surprising comeback during tonight’s Money in the Bank premium live event. R-Truth had recently departed WWE after being informed that his contract would not be renewed upon expiration.

In the days following the announcement, both WWE officials and fans voiced their disappointment, evident from the frequent R-Truth chants at WWE shows. Tonight, in the main event featuring Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso against John Cena & Logan Paul, R-Truth made a shock return by attacking Cena, which helped Rhodes and Uso secure the win.

After the event, Triple H was asked about the unexpected return during the WWE Money in the Bank post-show, to which he responded, "Are you enjoying the show? It’s all part of the showman!" but declined to elaborate further.

Despite the playful comment, the reality seems more complex. Reports from Pwinsider hinted days prior that R-Truth was in talks with an independent wrestling promotion about potential bookings. Meanwhile, Kalisto and Sarah Logan/Balhalla also confirmed their departures last weekend under similar circumstances. It appears R-Truth will continue to use his real name, Ron Killings, as he moves forward.

Fan Take: R-Truth’s return is a thrill for WWE fans who have missed his presence and charisma. This comeback could signal new storylines and potential shifts within WWE, highlighting the company’s effort to keep its roster fresh and exciting while acknowledging fan favorites.
