Some wrestlers like Cody Rhodes and Matt Cardona manage to achieve great success after WWE, but not everyone is as fortunate. In a recent interview with Wrestling in the Middle, former WWE star Nixon Newell opened up about the challenges she faces post-WWE life.

She admitted, “I’m not booked much. Honestly, there’s a serious lack of opportunities. I’m not sure why it happened… it was delayed. Hopefully, things will improve soon.”

Known in the ring as Tegan Nox, Newell remains hopeful that her career will pick up, though she noted that her time after WWE hasn’t been without memorable moments. She highlighted a notable TNA return where she faced Dani Luna, calling it a career highlight.

She expressed, “The booking I received gave me a chance to perform some incredible moves. Wrestling Dani Luna, who had been on my wish list for years, was a special moment.”

Nixon Newell was released from WWE for the second time in 2024.
