Newell explained, "I knew the idea of pitching and becoming a football hooligan as a gimmick was coming. I went through all the stages of discussion and pitching, got approval, was set to film, then it got canceled two days before. At that point, I felt something was up, and I thought I would be leaving."
During this time, Newell was shifted from regular WWE Main Event matches to dark matches before and after TV tapings. She fondly remembered wrestling alongside Blair Davenport (aka Bea Priestley) and receiving praise from notable figures like Molly Holly and William Regal. Despite this, she was released in November 2024.
Since leaving WWE, Newell has returned to England and booked engagements on the independent scene. While she appreciates her experiences in various promotions, she voiced frustration about not receiving new offers after becoming a free agent. Before joining WWE, she wrestled with Stardom, Chikara, and other well-known indie promotions.
