Almost 20 years after WWE’s legendary John Tenta (known as the earthquake), his daughter is stepping into the ring to continue his legacy.
The late WWE Hall of Fame daughter Joanna Tenta revealed Kelly Clarkson Show That she is currently training to become a professional wrestler. The earthquake that formed the Powerhouse Tag Team died on June 7, 2006 in a natural disaster (Fred Ottman) and a typhoon (Fred Ottman).
Joanna is currently pursuing her own wrestling journey and has been opened up about the emotional inspiration behind her decision. “When I was young, I loved watching wrestling. When I was 15, I told my dad I wanted to do what he did.” She said. “After he passed away, I stopped watching wrestling for almost 17 years. I came back during WrestleMania 39 and remembered why I loved wrestling.”
She made a leap in 2024 and began training in absolute intense wrestling. “I was taking this year and I wanted to learn and train to become a professional wrestler for the joy of it.” She shared. “So I learned a lot about how to trust my body, how to trust myself, how to work hard. But the most important thing and what I wanted was that it formed a new special connection with my father.”
The earthquake left a lasting mark in the world of wrestling, and now Joanna Tenta is working on her own creation. She still has a long way to go, but her motivations come from a deep, personal place. And fans are already rooting for her to succeed.
