Leading WWE Superstars to Skip Upcoming UK Tours

2 Min Read

It seems that several major WWE superstars have been removed from the company’s five upcoming UK tour events scheduled for later this month. Recently, WWE announced the matches and highlighted the featured wrestlers for the tour, but notably missing from the revised lineup are WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

Both champions were initially promoted for the shows and still appear on promotional materials for the UK tour. On the women’s side, Mamire Aliprey is absent from the promotions without any explanation, despite being mentioned in the original March press release.

The exclusions of Bianca Belair and Gunther, however, are understandable. Bianca has had limited action since WrestleMania 41 due to a broken finger, and Gunther is expected to take a break after SummerSlam because of a nose injury. WWE has added CM Punk to the tour roster, where he’ll team up with Sami Zayn and Penta to oppose Judgment Day at most events. One exception is a singles match between Punk and Dominic Mysterio at the Liverpool show on August 23rd.

While the event lineups may still change, it currently appears unlikely that the missing names will be added back into the tour.

Fan Take: This development is significant for WWE fans as it signals potential shifts in storylines and athlete availability that could impact the momentum of major champions. Additionally, it highlights how injuries and strategic roster changes continue to shape the live wrestling experience, keeping the sport dynamic and unpredictable.
