Former AEW talent Marco Stunt has provided an update regarding his retirement, coinciding with news of his upcoming appearance at an independent wrestling event. Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) recently announced on social media that Stunt will be returning for a farewell show, stating, “Marco Stunt is returning to GCW for one more night to bid farewell to pro wrestling.”

Fans have been actively discussing potential opponents for Stunt’s first GCW match since his last appearance in January 2023. Although Stunt stepped away from wrestling after his bout with Jack Perry at AEW Collision last year and confirmed his retirement in November 2024, he has remained somewhat close to the ring. On Twitter, he jokingly reaffirmed his status, saying, “Guys, I’m retired. I’m not wrestling anymore (lol).”

Expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming GCW event, Stunt shared, “It’s great to have GCW back home and be able to say goodbye to everyone in person and see all of our great friends again. See you again🫶” Having been a staple in GCW since 2018, Stunt challenged Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship in July 2019 but fell short. Additionally, at GCW 2022, he participated in the Extreme Championship Six-Way Scramble, where Cole Radrick ultimately secured the title.

Marco Stunt’s farewell to professional wrestling marks the end of an era for AEW fans who have followed his unique and impactful career.
