Shawn Waltman Champions Drive for His Solo Induction into the WWE Hall of Fame

Jeff Jarrett has been outspoken about Sean Waltman’s Hall of Fame recognition, urging WWE to acknowledge Waltman’s solo career, famously known as X-Pac. Although Waltman is uniquely honored twice in the WWE Hall of Fame—as part of both D-Generation X and the NWO—Jarrett argues that Waltman’s individual achievements deserve separate recognition.

On the “My World” podcast, Jarrett praised Waltman’s early influence, particularly his work as the Lightning Kid, which helped redefine opportunities for smaller wrestlers. Jarrett said, “That’s easy. Watching him wrestle Jerry Lynn, you could describe him as the pioneer of the X Division, junior heavyweight, or flyweight style—whichever term fits.”

Jarrett also pointed to Waltman’s surprising win over Razor Ramon as the 1-2-3 Kid, calling it a groundbreaking moment. He remarked, “His debut as the 1-2-3 Kid, knocking off Razor Ramon, was a trailblazing upset that set a unique precedent and showed that such surprises can happen anywhere.”

Acknowledging Waltman’s struggles, TNA co-founder Jarrett praised his perseverance and impact in WWE and WCW. “He battled personal demons like many of us but kept pushing forward. When he joined Nitro as part of the NWO, he took the name Syxx, becoming the sixth member,” Jarrett explained.

For Jarrett, the math is straightforward—Waltman’s influence on wrestling is undeniable. “If you know the history, it’s not disrespectful to others in the Hall of Fame, but he unquestionably deserves recognition,” Jarrett concluded.

While Waltman hasn’t publicly addressed the possibility of a solo Hall of Fame induction, support from veterans like Jarrett suggests it might be only a matter of time.
