Inside Scoop: WWE Status Update on Former Female Tag Champion Tamina Snuka

2 Min Read

WWE fans last saw Tamina Snuka competing in a singles match on the March 2, 2023, episode of “WWE Main Event,” but since then, little has been heard about her status. Although she was listed on WWE’s official roster and assigned to the “WWE Smackdown” brand during the 2023 draft, reports from last summer revealed WWE had no plans to feature her on-screen. Internally, Tamina was still listed in certain WWE sections, but as of July 2025, that no longer seems to be the case.

A recent Fightful Select report states that Tamina is no longer on WWE’s internal roster and is rarely seen at WWE events, although she remains under contract with the company. She recently appeared as a fan-voted wrestler for Fantiz Fest’s Superstar Entrance Attraction event, and she continues to be listed among WWE’s active talents alongside Tiffany Stratton and Tama Tonga, confirming she is still affiliated with WWE.

Tamina, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, joined WWE in 2010 alongside her cousins, Jimmy and Jay Uso. Over her 15-year career, she has held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships with veteran Natalia and was also a 24/7 Champion. Her last major live event appearance was at the 2023 Royal Rumble, participating in the women’s over-the-top-rope match.

Fan Take: This update on Tamina Snuka shows how a well-known talent can quietly drift into the background, highlighting the unpredictable nature of WWE careers. For fans, her potential return or official departure could signify shifting dynamics in WWE’s women’s division and roster strategy moving forward.
