Elayna Black has a strong bond with CM Punk, who has always supported her. This connection led many to believe her Chicago-themed attire was inspired by him, but she has since clarified that misconception.
During a signing event with High Spot Wrestling, Elayna Black shared the backstory of her Chicago-inspired gear. She mentioned that someone else crafted the design for her, often working from her initial concepts to create something exceptional.
Being from Chicago, she chose the little star to symbolize the Chicago flag; however, she noted that many fans linked it to CM Punk, as he is often associated with the flag. Ultimately, the design was not influenced by him, but she doesn’t mind the association.
The back of her gear features “Jade” along with additional stars and a small barbed wire heart, blending the Chicago star with her personal touch.
“I got this to be designed. I always just give him a draft idea, and he always came up with something great. I’m from Chicago, so I wanted a little star. It’s the Chicago flag. Legs – this little barbed wire heart.”
Currently, Elayna Black is making her mark on the wrestling circuit following her departure from WWE. While her gear isn’t a direct tribute to CM Punk, it’s evident that she remains appreciative of his support throughout her journey.
