AEW Dynamite/Collision Results (May 6, 2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens with Tony Schiavone’s welcoming commentary as he talks about the legacy of the late Ted Turner, particularly as it relates to professional wrestling. Schiavone also talks about what Turner has done for wrestling on Turner networks such as TBS, and then introduces a guy who is familiar with this as well. Schiavone then brings out Sting.

WCW legend “Icon” Sting then gets a nice pop on his way to the ring, where he hugs Schiavone. Tony then allowed Sting to share a few words, saying that Ted was a big part of the two of them getting into this business. Sting then says that Turner was a “billionaire” who loved pro wrestling. Sting later said that Turner took to the wrestling box as WCW executives considered cutting back on WCW and told the wrestlers to “just keep wrestling because he has deep pockets.” And he says without Ted Turner there would be no TNT Championship or wrestling on TNT or TBS, so thank you Ted.

Schiavone then turns the conversation to Sting protégé Darby Allin, who will defend his world championship tonight. Sting said he’s excited to see it, especially in a city he’s known for years. Sting also said he was thrilled to have another “billionaire” involved in AEW wrestling and thanked Tony Khan for everything. Schiavone then said that the side plates of the TNT Championship and TBS Championship show the studio that helped start it all in wrestling. He then ends the segment with a 10-bell salute to Ted Turner.

The Dynamite theme then plays before returning to ringside, and the theme immediately switches as Jon Moxley steps into the ring for the first match of the night. Renee Paquette was at ringside and when Moxley arrived in the ring, she talked about the history between Moxley and Juice Robinson. Juice Robinson then comes down to the ring for the first match of the night.

AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley of Death Riders vs. Juice Robinson of Bang Bang Gang

The match begins with both men exchanging strikes until Robinson is sent to the ropes. Robinson then manages to fight back and drives Moxley into the ropes and hits a chop. This forces Moxley into the corner and Robinson sends Moxley across the ring. Moxley then hit a shot of his own and was sent to the mat by Robinson, who sent Moxley flying out of bounds. Robinson then hits more shots and brings Moxley back into the ring, but Moxley gets to his feet and intercepts Robinson on the way out. Robinson stomps on his hand and pulls Robinson’s fingers, but Robinson ducks Moxley with some right hands.

Moxley then avoided God’s left hand and left the ring, but Robinson followed close behind, sending Moxley into the timekeeper area. This forces Moxley to look for distance from Robinson as he re-enters the ring, but Robinson sends Robinson into the corner and takes a few mounted punches before biting Moxley in the head. Robinson then hits a diving crossbody, but instead of pinning Moxley, he follows with some shots until he breaks and escapes the ring. Back in the ring, Moxley regained control and continued to work Robinson’s hands. Both men then get back to their feet and Robinson throws punches at Moxley, sending Moxley into a corner clothesline across the ring.

Robinson then goes for a cannonball but is blocked by Moxley, who drops Robinson to the canvas with a cutter. It then culminated with a powerbomb, a 10 minute warning, and both men down. Robinson then goes for a big lariat and cover in the corner, but only gets two. He then continues his onslaught, only to get another near fall and drop Moxley to the mat once again. He then looks for the left hand of God again, keeping Moxley on, only to be bitten in the forehead by Moxley. Moxley then hits the ropes and runs into a divine left hand. Robinson then goes up top and covers Moxley to get another two count.

Both then slowly rise to their feet and exchange attacks as they stare at each other. It then turns into a headbutt by both men, followed by an elbow attack. Moxley then lunges at Robinson, who drives Robinson into the corner and rolls him up for a near fall. Moxley then catches him with a choke before Robinson tries to escape and this leads to a piledriver for two Moxley. Moxley then goes for the bulldog choke again, but Robinson tries to escape before being sent back to the center of the ring. He then locked in a bulldog choke, which led to Moxley’s submission victory.

After the match, Moxley celebrates as the rest of the Bang Bang Gang team up with the Young Bucks to take on The Dogs and Death Riders later tonight, but next up is a Double Jeopardy match with Orange Cassidy facing Dax Harwood.

Now let’s look at what happened earlier today. The Death Riders continue to train with Will Ospreay, with Jon Moxley offering advice to get Will’s neck right. Moxley then says he’s on the brink of death. Moxley then says it’s going to be difficult, but it’s the only good option. Moxley then says that nothing exists except what is right in front of him. PAC then shuts off the cameras as training resumes.

We then return to ringside as the Dogs and RPG Vice accompany FTR to the ring, but as the group enters the ring awaiting the arrival of Orange Cassidy, it is actually Dax Harwood who will be competing in the next match of the night. Cassidy is accompanied by Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong as The Young Bucks, Christian Cage and Adam Copeland descend on the ring. They then head to the ring as Cassidy makes his entrance and this begins this Double Jeopardy match.

Cassidy then broke free and did a deep clutch on Harwood for the win.

The winner of the Double Jeopardy match is Conglomerate AEW World Trios Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy!

After the match, there was no time to celebrate as Harwood’s friends rushed into the ring looking for a beatdown, only to be fought off by Cassidy’s friends. Everyone except RPG Vice then leaves the ring and the pair ends up getting knocked down on the face. They then stand tall while Romero and Trent retreat to the outside.
