Nick Jackson acknowledged in an interview with Lenny Puckett that fans initially found the alliance odd since the two groups have very different approaches. “We’re not typically wild brawlers prone to bleeding, but Moxley’s words sometimes hit home during interviews, like, ‘We might be here to improve this company.’”
Matt Jackson added that Moxley and his Grappler executives showed respect for the AEW locker room. He mentioned that Moxley has started expressing gratitude as he pushes his opponents to their best, even while being away from the company.
“We sat back thinking, ‘Wow.’ I believe Death Rider and the Elite share more similarities than people realize,” Matt said. “John is a key figure now, just like us. He’s an outlaw, and I think we carry the same rebellious spirit.”
