Buff Bagwell is set on making a comeback to the wrestling world, despite having lost his leg. In a recent interview with Grind City Media, the former WCW star shared that his return is not merely a hopeful thought—it’s a definite goal.

After having his leg amputated due to a severe car accident in 2020, Bagwell plans to use an advanced military-grade prosthetic called the Genium X4 to help him get back into wrestling shape. This prosthesis, designed to endure tough environments like those faced by Navy SEALs, features microprocessing knees and comes with a hefty price tag of $130,000 to $150,000.

“It’s called the microprocessing knee, and it costs between $130,000 to $150,000. It has all these incredible features designed for various conditions,” Bagwell explained.

He understands that the process will take time, especially to adapt to wrestling maneuvers like running the ropes or hitting the mat. However, he believes that as long as he can do burpees with his new prosthetic, the possibilities are endless.

“If I can do burpees, there’s nothing I can’t manage. It’s all about training your brain and body for moves like running the ropes,” he stated.

What boosts his confidence? Watching videos of other amputees running successfully with the same prosthetic.

“I see people running full tilt with their prosthetics and think, if they’re doing it, then you can definitely expect to see Buff Bagwell back in the ring,” he noted.

Though he hasn’t yet received the prosthetic, Bagwell is adamant about his determination to return to the ring.

“Let me be clear—I don’t have a prosthetic leg yet, but if what I’m seeing and hearing is even 10% accurate, I will be a wrestling pro again,” he asserted.

Bagwell’s journey to a comeback is already inspiring and, with the aid of cutting-edge technology and a steadfast belief in himself, “Buff Daddy” shows no signs of being finished.
