Gail Kim is set to return to the public eye for the first and only time in 2025.
The iconic wrestler, who has remained low-key since her emotional departure from TNA earlier this year, has announced that she will make a single appearance at the GCW Fanslam tournament in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kim shared this news on Twitter on November 20th.
“Surprise 🙌🏼 I’ll be appearing at the @GCWrestling_Fanslam Convention in East Rutherford, NJ this Saturday, November 22nd from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.”
This announcement marks Kim’s first public engagement since her dismissal from TNA earlier in 2025, following significant changes behind the scenes. Following her exit, she mentioned that she would take a full year off to focus on herself. Recently, she indicated on social media that she would be available for bookings in 2026, though she clarified that she is officially retired from wrestling.
“I said I was taking 2025 for myself, and now I’m ready to get back to work! 🙌🏼 It was a much-needed time to reset ❤️ I’m available for bookings/appearances in 2026… but I will not participate in any wrestling matches. Just to be clear, I am truly retired from that side of things. 😉”
Kim’s return comes after she faced backlash this summer for her comments on how the knockout division was being managed. She explained that she had been advocating for the development of homegrown talent long before TNA’s recent management changes took place.
“In response to the recent discussions about revitalizing the Knockouts division, I want you to know that I’ve been working towards that for over a year before Carlos Silva arrived… I’ve been pushing for it since Scott left.”
Although Kim hasn’t returned to the ring, her presence at the GCW Fanslam tournament is already generating excitement. Fans will have a rare chance to see the Hall of Famer in person before she starts accepting bookings for 2026.
Kim has emphasized that this appearance is a unique opportunity, as she has no other events lined up for the year, making it uncertain when she will be seen again.
