WWE recorded the January 9, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown at Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany. Below are spoiler results for the show.

SmackDown began with Drew McIntyre arriving at the arena, followed by Cody Rhodes. Carmelo Hayes is pictured entering with the US title on his shoulders. Alexa Bliss can be seen backstage looking down at her phone. The announcer explains tonight’s lineup.

As Randy Orton made his way to the ring, his music blared and the crowd sang along to his theme.

Randy says it feels great to be back in the ring and welcomes the people of Berlin to SmackDown. As Randy began speaking, Trick Williams’ music blared and the crowd began chanting “Hoop That Trick.” Trick Williams got in the ring and said that while everyone claims the new year is their year, he wants to keep it real. A new star has officially arrived, he says, and his name is Trick Williams. Trick added that he’s not sure about Germany yet, but other countries love Trick Willy. He said he was 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 250 pounds and told Randy to do the math. “This isn’t 2006,” Trick says. “It’s 2026. Let’s talk about it.”

Randy looked around and asked Trick if he really wanted to talk about it. He says he’s 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 270 pounds, but 14 is the only number that matters. Because that’s how many world titles he’s won. Randy recognizes that Trick is similar to Star and acts confident, but warns him: “You chose to get in my way…and I don’t know if you have a brain.”

He counters by saying the trick is real. He calls Randy one of the best people and thanks him for the kind words. But Trick says he’s here to hone in on one of the greatest players and steal the spotlight. Although he respects Randy, he came to Berlin to pay attention to him. “This is the year of Trick Williams.” he declares before striking a pose.

Randy replies coldly: “I don’t know what they teach you in NXT, but you won’t turn your back on me. I’ll let you pass this time – but if you do it again, you won’t scream that move…I’ll kick your ass.”

Trick knocks the microphone out of Randy’s hand, but Randy quickly counters with punches and uppercuts, then drops Trick with a hanging DDT.

Suddenly, The Miz runs in and attacks Randy from behind with stomps and blows. He goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Randy fights back and hits a big RKO.

As Randy heads down the aisle, the lights dim and Rey Fenix ​​appears. They meet halfway down the ramp, fist bump, and Randy leans in to tell Ray something before heading inside. Rey then heads to the ring.

Rey Fenix ​​vs. Trick Williams

Trick and Ray lock up and Trick shoves Ray into a pose. They lock up again and Trick pushes him back once more. They exchange words before Trick grabs the mask and pulls Ray down. Ray goes for a hip toss but Trick blocks it. Rey lands on her feet and rolls over Trick for a near fall. He counters with a cross pin and drives him even closer to a fall. Rey hits a sunset flip for a two-way deal. Trick breaks the waistlock and lands a shoulder tackle.

Rey hits a flurry of forearms, and Trick responds with chops and a hard Irish whip into the corner. Trick hits more chops and whips Rey again, but Rey bounces off the ropes and lands a shoulder. Rey grabs a wristlock and tries a springboard move, but Trick moves. Rey hits a springboard dropkick and knocks Trick to the floor. Rey pretends to dive and hangs on the ropes.

Trick goes back inside and hits a jumping sidekick for a near fall, then hits a kick to the body. He hits a tilt-a-whirl slam and a falcon arrow to get another two count. Trick throws Rey out of the ring and whips him into the ring post before stepping up. Trick chops Ray as the fight continues.

Trick slams Rey into the steel steps and rolls him back into the ring. More Irish whips and a corner kick sends Rey to the floor. Rey climbs onto the apron but Trick kicks Rey. Trick then hits a spinning back heel kick for a near fall and follows up with a punch.

Rey fights back with a chop and Trick fights back with a kick. Ray uses chops and Trick uses punches. Trick goes for a suplex, but Rey counters with a knee kick and rolls him up for a near fall. Rey hits a series of kicks and drops Trick to the mat. Rey with a forearm, Trick with a punch, they exchange shots again, and Trick hits a pop-up uppercut for a close two count.

Trick hits Rey with a knee to the stomach and sends him into the corner, but Rey counters with a thrust kick. Ray goes for a spinning move, but Trick catches him with his shoulder. Rey gets a free elbow for a corner kick, then a chop that puts Trick on the turnbuckle. Rey sets up a rana and Trick tries to block it with a super uranage, but Rey escapes with another elbow and hits a big super rana for a near fall.

Rey climbs to the top and goes for a moonsault, but Trick gets his leg up. Trick gets a nearfall with a Cyclone Kick, then hits Uranage for another near 2 count. Trick charges into the corner but misses, and Rey counters with a springboard backheel kick and a flurry of hits. Rey hits a tornado reverse DDT for a nearfall.

Rey hits a scorpion kick and follows up with a running top rope kick. He goes back into the turnbuckle but Trick catches him. Rey immediately goes into a victory roll and nears a fall. Trick reversed the pin, grabbed some tights, and stole the win.

Winner: Trick Williams

Backstage, Byron Saxton is with Julia and Kiana James. Byron asks what last week’s win means to them and Julia says the title is back where it belongs. Kiana added that Julia is a talent with untapped potential. And Julia warned that she would walk away tonight, citing former champion and women’s division legend Alexa Bliss as an example.

We’re back from the break to recap last week’s brutal Ambulance match between Damian Priest and Aleister Black.

Backstage, Byron Saxton is with Damian Priest and asks him how he’s feeling and what’s next for 2026. Priest says he’s definitely hurt. He won some battles, lost some, but won the war. He says he’s seen people go after the title, and now he’s trying to put his name in there, too.

In comes Drew McIntyre. Priest acknowledges how dangerous Drew is and says that if Drew becomes champion tonight, they might have another round. Priest reminds Drew to tell everyone what happened during their last confrontation.

Byron then turns to Drew and asks him what he thought of tonight. Drew says he’s emotional –but not his. He says it’s Cody whose emotions are out of control. Drew remembers the look on Cody’s face when he burned the photo of Dusty and Cody together. Drew then shows him the watch and says it once belonged to Dusty Rhodes. It was the same watch that Dusty pawned as funds for Cody’s future. Drew warns Cody that he will be disqualified in the first fall and that Drew only needs one more Finally Become WWE Champion. He finishes with a cold, maniacal laugh.

Elsewhere, Alexa Bliss speaks on the phone with Charlotte Flair backstage. She said she didn’t know about the match until today and told Charlotte to focus on her recovery.

Nia Jax and Rush Legend approach and mock Charlotte by asking her if she’s good at snogging. Rush calls Charlotte’s sudden illness “convenient.” Alexa fights back saying she doesn’t know what she’s talking about and heads to the ring.

WWE United States Women’s Championship: Julia vs. Alexa Bliss

Julia gets in Alexa’s face and talks trash to her before pushing her away. Alexa pushes back with a right, but Julia pushes in again. Alexa goes for a side headlock, but Julia grabs her hair and suplexes her. Julia follows up with a running hip attack in the corner, then climbs the turnbuckle and hits a missile dropkick for a near fall. She landed a headbutt, grabbed Alexa by the hair and threw her across the ring.

Julia charges again, but Alexa evades and sends her flying out of bounds. Alexa fires a cannonball off the apron and hits Julia on the floor. Alexa brings Julia back in the ring, but Kiana James trips her from outside and applies a hanging neckbreaker from the apron to the floor. Julia follows up with a kick to Alexa’s back before getting back in the ring. While the referee is distracted, Kiana steps on Alexa’s hair.

Alexa returns to the ring but Julia catches her with a kick. Julia stands over Alexa in the ropes, stretches herself out, and hits a dropkick to her back, which leaves her hanging. She covers Alexa for a near fall. Julia followed up with a body slam and two more nearfalls.

Alexa also counters with a rollup for a 2 count. Julia chokes in the corner and then goes to the ropes. While the referee is distracted, Kiana sneaks a forearm to Alexa. Alexa fights back with a back elbow and a kick, followed by a barrage of forearms. Julia lands a forearm of her own but ends up running into Alexa’s boot.

Alexa gains momentum with shoulder tackles, consecutive attacks, and dropkicks. She hit a blockbuster near the fall. Julia hits a headbutt, but Alexa counters with an STO and a double knee drop, but the following flip senton misses. Julia hits a knee to the head for a near fall.

Julia prepares the Aurora bomb, but Alexa escapes and prepares Sister Abigail. When Kiana enters the ring, she lets go. Alexa drops Julia with a DDT and hits Kiana. Suddenly, Rush Legend shoves Alexa off the turnbuckle and Julia hits the Northern Lights Bomb for the three count.

Winner: Julia (current SmackDown Women’s Champion)

After the match, Nia Jax and Rush Legend appear in the ring. Nia calls Alexa a loser, picks her up and throws her to give Rush a punch. Rush drags Alexa to the corner and sets her up for the aNIAlator. Nia follows, sitting on top of Alexa.

Backstage, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis congratulated Jordynne Grace on officially signing with SmackDown. Chelsea Green storms in, angry that she hasn’t heard back yet about a rematch. Nick tells her to calm down and asks her to welcome Jordyn to the brand. Chelsea says she wants a girlfriend. rematch. When Jordyn replies that she’s not here to act like a diva, Alba Fire chimes in and warns Jordyn to stay on the right path. Nick announces that Alba will be Jordyn’s next opponent.

Back in the ring, Gacy boots Roar and knocks Tama off the apron. Tara then hit Gacy with a clothesline. Gacy is sent flying into the turnbuckle and gets a kick. Tama tags in and Roa hits a forearm. Double teaming Gacy in the corner, Tama whips Gacy, Roa hits a clothesline, Tama follows with a splash, Roa adds another clothesline, Tama finishes with a back senton.

Tama hits Gacy with punches and shoulder thrusts in the corner. Tara tags in and hits a corner clothesline, followed by an uppercut. He adds a forearm, back elbow, and drops an elbow on Gacy.

Next is the solo tag. He teased Gacy and acted as if he was tagging him out, but instead punched Gacy in the back and followed up with a headbutt. Gacy tries to fight back with punches, but Solo lands a big shot and hits a hard Irish whip in the corner.

Solo headbutts Gacy and follows up with punches in the corner. The referee warns him, but Solo continues to swing. He goes for a running hip attack in the corner. Solo then knocks Lumis and Uncle Howdy off the apron.

Tama tags in and hits Gacy in the back with a double ax handle. he growled, but Gacy countered with a punch. Tama grabs a waistlock and blocks the tag, but Gacy escapes with a handspring clothesline and a tag to Rowan. Rowan charges in and punches everyone. Spinning back heel kick to Tama, elbow to Roa. Rowan drops Tama and Roa with a clothesline, followed by a dropkick on Roa.

Tama and Rowan collide with a simultaneous crossbody. Tara comes in and trades punches with Rowan. Rowan goes for a kick, but Tara takes control with a headbutt. Rowan fights back with a clothesline.
