AEW Clash Results (5/2/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show begins with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us as the Death Riders descend into the ring for the first match of the night. The Dogs go down to the ring next, followed by the Rascals and Top Flight.

10-man tag match: Death Riders (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, “The Bastard” PAC), The Dogs (David Finlay, Clark Conner) vs. Skyflight Top Flight (Dante Martin, Darius Martin), The Rascals (Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, Desmond Xavier)

The match begins with Top Flight and The Rascals quickly jumping on the Death Riders and The Dogs. Reed then sends Castagnoli to the floor and dives over the top rope, taking down Castagnoli and PAC. On the floor, the top flight takes it to The Dogs. Connors tries to attack Wentz in the ring, but Wentz counters with a chop to Connors in the corner. Wentz then went up top and got Connors off the top, covering Connors for just a two count. Finley then tags in and sends Wentz to the corner. The Dogs then double-team Wentz. Then Xavier tags in. He covers Finlay while PAC makes the save. Darius Martin is then tagged, and so is PAC.

Moxley comes in and takes down Darius. He has now been officially tagged following boos from fans. Moxley sets up Darius in the corner and bites him on the forehead. Darius then fires back with rights. Moxley and Darius then trade blows. Dante then tags in and Dante hits Moxley with a flying lariat. Reed is then slapped and tagged by Moxley. Reed then fires back with a big chop. Both men then trade chops in the ring. Moxley then hits Reed with a big forearm. Marina drops Reed with a lariat and Reed is sent to the floor. Then a big “Moxley” chant begins. Xavier then DDTs Castagnoli to the floor. Wentz then hits a shotgun dropkick on Finlay, but Connors sends him flying into the announce desk. Castagnoli then slips out of the lead and drops Reed onto his back.

Connors and Reed get in the ring. Then Connors drops Reed and grabs his ankle. The lead then comes back and tries to make a tag, but is blocked. The Dogs and The Death Riders then clean the corner of the babyfaces and send them to the floor. The Dogs then try to double team Reed, but Reed comes back with a double cutter to the Dogs. Top Flight then jumps over the ropes and defeats Death Rider on the floor. Xavier gets in and throws Connors into Wentz’s trunk. Reed then covers Connors, but Finlay makes the save. Finlay then slammed Wentz and Connors covered it, making it just two points and Xavier making the save. Wentz then hit a big boot to Connors’ head and both went down.

Darius and PAC tag in. Darius rolls up PAC and only gets a two count. Both fighters then roll each other up for the pin. Dante is then tagged. He then comes off the top and lands on PAC, who covers him for just a two count. Top Flight then double-teams Castagnoli, but he comes back with a double suplex on Top Flight. Castagnoli then grabbed Dante and did a giant swing. Reed then drives Moxley to the floor. Xavier is on Castagnoli’s back. Wentz then kicks Castagnoli in the head. The babyface then takes down Castagnoli. Finlay comes in and gets shoved and kicked by Rascals. Reed is then sent to the floor. The Dogs then defeat Xavier. Reed and Wentz then get double kicked by Moxley and PAC. Darius then rolls up PAC for just a two count. PAC then clotheslines Darius and when Darius submits, he locks in the Brutalizer for the win.

Next up is the AEW National Championship match where “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry defends Mascara Dorada. We then get a Jurassic Express video package where Luchasaurus drives Perry to win the national title. Perry stated that both men are already down and he intends to defeat another challenger tonight. They also say that no one can stop us and stop the car. Perry can’t help but stare at the Luchasaurus, which notices and turns in a different direction.

Jack Perry then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Mascara Dorada.

AEW National Championship Match: Jurassic Express’ “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry (c) vs. Mascara Dorada

The match begins with a handshake between both players. Perry then locks up Dorada and Dorada breaks the hold and takes Perry down. They then lock up as Perry knocks Dorada to the mat. Perry then locks Dorada in a headlock and Perry rolls up to get a count of one. Perry then drops Dorada. They both then run to the ropes and Perry dropkicks Dorada. Perry then chops Dorada and drops him to the mat. He then sends Dorada into the ropes and Dorada comes back and sends Perry in. Perry then fights back with a chop and Perry climbs the ropes and jumps off, taking down Dorada.

Dorada then grabs Perry, breaks the hold and rolls to the floor. Dorada then jumps over the ropes and lands on Perry on the outside. Dorada then begins a “Lucha” chant. Perry then sends Dorada into the ring post and kicks Dorada in the head. Both men then trade blows and the action spills over to the barricade. Dorada then goes for a suplex, but Perry drops him into the barricade with a Canadian Destroyer. Both men went down as the referee checked. Perry then escapes the Stunner and hits a poison rana, but is planted with a Code Red in response. Perry then knocks Dorada off the ropes to the floor and follows up with a big moonsault. Back in the ring, Perry hits a Gutwrench Liger Bomb on Dorada.

Dorada then hits Perry with a one-winged angel neckbreaker. Then, after a 450 splash from Dorada, Perry barely kicks out. On the apron, Perry stuns Dorada with a superkick and launches him with a diving hurricanrana. Inside the ring, Dorada catches Perry out of the air with a knee kick and flips him over with a sit-out dominator for a near fall. Perry then gets up on his knees and almost pins Dorada from a rollup. Perry then hit a hurricanrana from the top for the win.

Winner and current AEW National Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry of Jurassic Express!

After the match, both players pay their respects to each other and leave together.

Then we head to the back where Chris Statlander and Hikaru Shida are talking to Renee Paquette. Statlander blames Shida for the loss in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship match, and Shida promises to make it up to Statlander.

Conglomeration then headed to the ring for their next match that night, but their opponents were already in the ring.

Trio match: AEW World Trios Champions The Conglomeration (“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly) vs. MxM TV (Johnny TV, Mansoor, Mason Madden)

The match started with Kyle O’Reilly and Mansour. O’Reilly kicks Mansoor, Mansoor makes a tag with Mason Madden, Mansoor gets kicked by O’Reilly. Johnny TV is then tagged in and gets hit in the corner by O’Reilly. Roderick Strong is then tagged and embedded in Johnny. Orange Cassidy is then tagged in. Johnny then comes from behind and kicks Cassidy. Madden and Mason then defeat The Conglomeration on the floor. Mansoor then picks up Cassidy, but he is dropped by Madden.

MxM TV then triple-teamed Cassidy, but Strong and O’Reilly stepped in to even things out. Strong then chops Madden, lifting him up and dropping him on his back. Cassidy rides on Strong’s shoulders and defeats Madden and Mansoor, who are sent flying out of the arena. Johnny TV is then triple teamed in the ring. Cassidy then hits a big elbow over Johnny and covers for the win.

After the match, The Conglomeration held a celebration, Tommaso Ciampa’s music blaring, and slowly made their exit, signaling Cassidy time up on Dynamite for the Double Jeopardy match.

And Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness send cheers to Rebel, who has been diagnosed with terminal ALS. The camera then shows the signs of fans supporting Rebel.

Next, we’ll film a scene with Will Ospreay and the Death Riders. Here’s a recap of Jon Moxley and his crew recruiting Will Ospreay over the past two weeks. After a brutal feud in which the two tried to break each other’s necks, they are now working together to get the best out of Ospreay.

Anna Jay then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night, followed by Willow Nightingale.

AEW TBS Championship Match: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Anna Jay

The match begins with a lockup between both women. Nightingale then goes for a quick rollup on Jay, but Jay kicks out at one. Jay then grabs Nightingale, but Nightingale is lifted onto the top rope. Nightingale tells Jay to show him the fire. Nightingale then defeats Jay. Jey then slams him into the ropes and flips Nightingale over for just a two count. Jey then rolls Nightingale up again for just a two count. Nightingale then hits Jey with a standing lariat in the corner. Jay kicks Nightingale in the midsection and Nightingale is forced into the corner. Jay then kicks Nightingale and covers for a one count. Jay then sends Nightingale to the floor.

Jey then trips on the apron and crashes to the floor. Nightingale then lands on top of Jay on the floor. Nightingale then lifts Jay up top and hits her with a superplex. Nightingale then superplexes Jey into a Death Valley Driver for a near fall. Jay then tightens the Queen Slayer on Nightingale. Nightingale then backs Jey into the corner and breaks the hold. Jey then escapes the Fire Thunder Driver, but Nightingale hits Jey with the Babe with the Powerbomb for the win.

After the game, Nightingale and Jay shook hands and hugged to show their respect for each other, some say.

Afterwards, we head to the back and Hikaru Shida gives Chris Statlander a present and a second chance in a tag team match with Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron. Shirakawa then confronts Statlender and asks him why he would give Shida the time of day. Shirakawa then signed a contract for a tag team match, with Statlander suggesting that he may have had something to do with Toni Storm’s injury. Statlander and Shida then leave.

The Death Riders then go down to the ring for their next match of the night, followed by the Bang Bang Gang.

Tag match: Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Ace Austin) vs. Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia)

The match starts with Juice Robinson and Yuta Wheeler, with Yuta punching Ace Austin and sending him flying to the floor. Garcia and Yuta then double team Robinson. Garcia then tags in and double-teams Robinson on his team. Yuta is then tagged. Robinson fights back as Austin gets tagged. Robinson then knocks down Garcia, but gets kicked by Yuta in the middle. Austin then takes Yuta down and hits a kick to the head. Austin then drops Garcia on the apron. Yuta comes back and slams Austin to the floor. Garcia and Shafir then double-teamed Yuta while Austin was on the floor, distracting the referee.

When Austin returns to the ring, Yuta grabs Austin’s hair and tags in Garcia. Yuta and Garcia then batter Austin, and Garcia traps Austin with a headscissors to the mat. Then he put on a Peruvian tie. Austin then catches Garcia with a deadlift fireman carry and when Garcia tries to elbow him in the face, Austin hits a Death Valley Driver and tags out to Robinson. Robinson then lays out both opponents and tears them apart like a house on fire. Yuta, covered in blood, is beaten by Robinson. Shafir then distracts Robinson, who nearly nails Utah. The two exchange pinfalls after Robinson sends Utah into Shafir.

Austin then ran in and was launched face-first into the steel steps over the turnbuckle. Robinson goes for an ugly knee on Yuta, but gets hit with a John Woo dropkick from Garcia. Austin then takes down Garcia, but gets planted with an Angle Slam by a bloody Yuta. Furthermore, Robinson won with a Juice Is Loose on Yuta.

The winner of the tag team match is Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & Ace Austin)!

After the match, Robinson declared that he wanted Jon Moxley’s belt. The Death Riders then attack, but are cut off by the returning Austin and Kolten Gunn. He then hits Yuuma at 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Austin grabs the mic and says The Guns are back, this is their show, and if that doesn’t cut it, Guns Up has two words for you.

Lexi Naar then heads inside, talking to Divine Dominion.

Sky Blue then went down to the ring for the next match of the night, but his opponent was already in the ring.

Single match: Triangle of Madness Sky Blue vs. Nixie XS

The match starts with Blue punching Nikushi XS and slamming him into the steps. Blue then hits Nixie XS with a spinning neckbreaker from the apron. Furthermore, Blue hits Nixi XS with Cheeky Nando’s kick. Blue then hits a running powerbomb on Nikushi XS and follows up with a running knee. Blue then breaks up her own pin, but pulls Nixie XS into a Dragon Sleeper with a body scissors for the win.

The winner of the singles match is Skye Blue from Triangle of Madness!

Hook then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night, followed by Kevin Knight.

AEW TNT Championship Match: JetSpeed’s “The Jet” Kevin Knight (c) vs. The Opps’ “Ruthless Handsome Devil” HOOK

The match begins with a lockup between both men. Hook then knocks Knight down. They then lock up again as Hook applies a headlock on Knight, who turns it into a wristlock. The hook then works on Knight’s arm. Both men then lock up again and go around and hit the ropes. Knight then grabs Hook’s arm and Hook fights out of the hold and throws Knight down. Knight then goes for an armdrag but Hook gets to his feet. Knight then takes down Hook with a few arm drags. Then Shibata whispers something in HOOK’s ear. Hook then hits Knight in the midsection, but Knight returns an uppercut to Hook.

Then the hook reversed and gave Knight a series of blows and a headbutt. Knight then sends a hook to the apron and kicks him to the floor. Knight then comes down, but the hook comes forward. Shibata then goes for a clothesline, but Knight avoids it. Hook then grabs Knight and sends him into the stands. Knight then hits a jumping lariat on Hook and nails him with a body slam. Knight then hits a running UFO splash for a two count. Knight then goes up top with a UFO splash, but HOOK counters with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Hook then hit a tazplex, sending Knight over the head, and a nasty penalty kick to the head almost gave Hook the title. Knight then escapes from Red Rum and defeats Shibata. Knight then jumps on a hook and hits a DDT. Knight then hit a UFO splash for the win.

After the match, Knight celebrates and stands tall in the ring, Tony Schiavone reminds him that next Saturday is Fairway to Hell, and the show ends with a one-hour special that will be broadcast live on TBS from the SoFi Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
