Wrestlers who don’t explicitly support Donald Trump

9 Min Read

In 2024, Donald Trump once again became President of the United States. Since his second appointment, both Americans and people all over the world have protested against the various policies of his administration. The approach he has to take on these issues directly led to having one of the president’s lowest approval rates in US history.

On the surface, showing wrestlers support for politicians may not seem like much support. But politics is involved in everything, and professional wrestlers are always expressing themselves. Despite his Hall of Fame status in WWE, there certainly were many voices from the world of wrestling critics of Trump.

Mick Foley opposes the Undertaker

He criticized the rival’s support for Donald Trump.

  • Donald Trump received support from the Undertaker on his “6 feet below” podcast.
  • Taker, with Kane in addition, claimed that Trump had once again made politics “fun.”
  • Mick Foley criticized his fellow wrestling legends and said the entertainment value isn’t necessarily a good thing.

After The Undertaker hosted Donald Trump on the “Six Foot Under” podcast, his great ring rival Mick Foley aired concerns about the former president. “The Deadman” claimed that Trump once again made politics “fun” but Foley explained that entertainment shouldn’t come at the expense of those who sew the seeds of division all over the country.

The love of a former man said this and explained,

America has experienced a serious dissonance of ideological opinions for several years. Foley is right to collect and possibly collect in Trump’s hands for the support of right-wing populists he inspires with his fanbase. Nevertheless, the entertainment factors Donald Trump have brought about seemingly not convincing Mick Foley, who won’t vote for him in the upcoming election.

Jim Cornett has approved Kamala Harris for the President

The outspoken wrestling voice also denounced Donald Trump

  • Jim Cornett publicly approved Kamala Harris for the President in a video posted on his X account.
  • He did not refrain from criticizing former President Trump.
  • Among other things, Cornett emphasized that he felt embarrassed America as Trump did under his previous term.

Another wrestling figure who isn’t afraid to speak his mind better, and often worse, Jim Cornett, who was extremely critical of Donald Trump. Cornett not only criticised the former president, but also went so far as to publicly support his opponent, Kamala Harris, in the upcoming election.

In a video posted to his X account, Cornett argued that Trump would continue to embarrass America and serve himself only as a leader. Kamala Harris’ public support is not important among wrestling fans. Cornett has a very niche, but he has a dedicated audience for his content.

Jim Cornett is an open voice when it comes to his opinions on wrestling, but it’s rare to see such a prominent figure within the industry being very open about political issues.

Jesse Ventura is a well-known political figure

The 80s star has returned to previous support for Trump

Jesse Ventura Governor

  • Jesse Ventura served as Governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003.
  • He previously showed support for Trump heading into the 2016 presidential election.
  • Since then, his views on the former president have changed, accusing Trump of copying him.

As someone who previously served in political positions as Minnesota governor, it is no surprise to see Jesse Ventura in presidential discourse. Ventura was an interesting political figure in his life as the only elected member of the Reform Party was always trying to challenge the establishment within America.

Before Donald Trump’s victory in 2016, Ventura actually showed his support for both him and the hopeful Democrat Bernie Sanders, showing itself as a highly anti-established and potential candidate. Since then, “body” opinions about Trump have certainly changed, claiming that “he is not the same man as before.”

Ventura also inspiring Trump to win the 2016 presidential election from his 1998 campaign, and inspiring that he can beat both in the 2024 election.

Kevin Nash shows his support for Kamala Harris

He also criticizes the American voting system.

Kevin Nash's podcast has been trimmed

  • Kevin Nash showed her support for Kamala Harris in an Instagram post earlier this year.
  • Nash previously wanted an end to the US-based electoral college system.
  • He often talks about political/social issues on his “This” YouTube channel.

A few years ago, Kevin Nash came up with the idea on Twitter (now x) that would allow for a better representation society in America to change and enable a better representation. He expressed his disappointment with the electoral college and two-party system that the country has relied on for years as it is a battle between Republicans and Democrats.

Nash is not someone who moves away from political thinking, but often talks about social issues on his “Kliq This” YouTube channel. “Big Sexy” also weighed heavily in this year’s election, endorsing Kamala Harris through an Instagram post.

Dave Bautista hugs Donald Trump

The film star, who became a wrestler, didn’t pull a punch on the former president.

  • Dave Bautista ran down Donald Trump and appeared at Jimmy Kimmel Live.
  • The wrestling style promotion included many insults with some important points.
  • The former Batista is a Voice Democrat and has previously spoken about social issues.

Batista recently appeared on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he cut a wrestling style promotion with Donald Trump. The segment included references to Trump’s manliness, his fitness and creepy personality, all with the “guardian of the galaxy” star working in the gym.

The segment was played for laughs, but the emotions behind it would have been hoping to target young Americans who tend to support Trump as a figure of masculine power. Batista showed that the former president doesn’t show the best face of positive masculinity because he is in fact dishonest and cannot be involved in the life of the average American.

Voices within the wrestling industry are making their opinions about this election, which will likely be forgotten quite quickly after closing. There is always a level of disconnect between real life people and the characters they portray in the ring. Even if they retire, they remember more for their wrestling time than they say or do outside the ring.

  • He has criticized Trump on many points in the past.
  • Punk also called out Elon Musk.
