Mercedes Monet defended NJPW’s strong women’s championship against AZM and Mina Shirakawa with NJPW’s revival, but that wasn’t the way she wanted as AZM won the match. Following her shocking loss, the CEO of AEW has rethinked about taking photos with her fans.
As revealed in footage of the online round, Mercedes Monet was trying to take a photo with his fans. “I hate seeing you lose.” As she said, this didn’t sit well with Mercedes Monet, who said she didn’t lose at all. “I didn’t lose“And she rethinks about taking photos with her fans.
Mercedes Monet asked other fans if she was pinned. “Did you pin it?” Fans revealed that she was not pinned as AZM had pinned Shiarakwa for the victory. As she said, it was clear that Monet was very annoyed by the fans. “I want this day to end, so is it almost midnight?”
This comes after a triple threat match in the NJPW revival. At the final moments, Mina placed the AZM on top of Monet and tried to use the figure for leg lock, but both AZM and Monet reached the bottom rope and broke the hold. All three then continued to fight, trying to pin each other. Eventually, Monet was knocked out of the ring and AZM quickly rolled Mina to win.
Mercedes Monet was not the one pinned to the NJPW revival, but the match still seems to have an impact on her feelings, especially in how people react to it. Anyway, she still has three championships. We need to wait to see if she can win another champion in the future.
