In 2025, several AEW stars have already seen WWE jump ships, but they could possibly pop up at Battleground on Sunday, May 25th, WWE NXT’s next premium live event.
Some have been on the bench for a while, but others have already left the company and are contractually free to be imminent in WWE.
There are eight AEW stars who can make their debut on WWE Battleground.
8. Wardrobe
Like current NXT star Ricky Saints, the strange loss of disappearance at AEW throughout 2024 was now wardrobe in 2025.
WardLow, last seen in AEW Big Business in March 2024, lost a match against Samoa Joe via a referee’s decision and was never seen again in the competition.
AEW star Matt Taben previously said Wardrow had a knee injury, but no details were confirmed by AEW or Wardrow himself.
His contract status with AEW remains unknown, at least in theory. If you leave Tony Khan’s company between now and May 25th, you could potentially have WWELow pop-up on WWE Battleground.
